#whereingreenville Legacy Park

Legacy Park Located in the Verdae community just outside of downtown Greenville was established in 2008 as a part of a larger development plan for the Verdae area in Greenville, SC. This 20 acre park is built on the former landholdings of John D. Hollingsworth, one of Greenville's former textile magnates. Legacy Park is the recreational centerpiece of the Verdae community, inspired by and modeled around the rolling hills of New York City's central Park. The Verdae community also contains Embassy Suites and Hollingworth Park, and is slated to become a thriving planned community over the next 15-20 years.
